Cotton Lower 9th Day In A Row

Cotton Futures--- Cotton futures in the December contract are trading lower for the 9th consecutive session down another 83 points currently trading at 68.14 as I recommended a short position when prices broke out of the critical 3 month consolidation at 71.85 & if you took the trade continue to place the stop loss above the 10 day high at 73.19 as the chart structure is poor presently.

How Low Are Sugar Prices Headed ?

Sugar Futures--- Sugar futures in the October contract are trading lower by 56 points currently at 13.26 a pound continuing its bearish momentum as the soft commodities are weak across the board once again as I think the whole sector continues to head lower as sugar prices have now hit a 16 month low.

Is Coffee Going To 110 ?

Coffee Futures--- Coffee futures in the September contract are trading lower for the 2nd consecutive session down another 230 points currently trading at 122.30 a pound continuing its bearish momentum hitting a 1 year low as it certainly looks to me that prices are headed towards major support around the 110 level in the coming weeks.

Corn Prices Hit A 2 Week Low

Corn Futures--- Corn futures in the December contract traded lower for the 2nd consecutive trading session as I was recommending a bullish position from the 3.96 level getting stopped out on the close today around 3.88 taking a small loss and moving on as weather conditions in the Midwestern part of the United States have improved tremendously putting pressure on prices here in the short-term.

Will Natural Gas Follow Crude Oil Lower ?

Natural Gas Futures---Natural gas futures in the July contract is unchanged this Tuesday afternoon in New York currently trading at 2.89 as I have been recommending a short position from around the 3.17 level & if you took the trade place your stop at the 10 day high which has been lowered to 3.08 as next week we will have to roll over into the August contract due to expiration.

How High Is The Stock Market Going ?

I Remain Bullish Corn Prices

Corn Futures---Corn futures in the December contract settled last Friday in Chicago at 4.06 a bushel while currently settling at 4.02 down slightly for the trading week as I have been recommending a bullish position from the 3.96 level as volatility certainly has expanded as prices traded as low as 3.88 in yesterday's trading session, and if you took the trade stay long & continue to place the stop loss under the contract low of 3.75.

Gold Prices Hit A 3 Week Low

Gold Futures--- Gold prices settled last Friday in New York at 1,271 an ounce while currently trading at 1,256 down about $15 for the trading week topping out at the 1,300 level as the Federal Reserve announced that they raise interest rates a ¼ point and plan on raising interest rates further down the road sending gold prices to a 3 week low.

My Consolidation Theory--Look At Cotton & Corn

There are different theories about how long does a meaningful consolidation has to last before you enter a trade ? In my opinion I always want to see a consolidation that lasts at least 8 or more weeks before I would consider entering.
