Natural Gas Futures--- Natural gas futures in the February contract settled last Friday in New York at 2.95 while currently trading at 2.78 as I am now recommending a bullish position at this level while placing the stop loss at the contract low of 2.56 risking around 22 points or $1,100 on 2 mini contracts plus slippage & commission.

Here Is My Wheat Trade

in Blog, commodity consulting, commodity trading, corn, futures, Mike Seery, oats, option trading, seeryfutures, soybean meal, soybean oil, soybeans, wheat

Wheat Futures--- Wheat futures in the March contract are currently trading lower by 1 cent at 4.35 a bushel as I will be recommending a bullish trade if prices break the 4.37 level while then placing the stop loss below the 10 day low of 4.20 risking around $0.17 or $900 per contract plus slippage and commission as the chart structure is outstanding due to the extremely low volatility as we are right near a 5 year low.

Are Soybean Prices Bottoming ?

in Blog, commodity consulting, commodity trading, corn, futures, Mike Seery, oats, option trading, seeryfutures, soybean meal, soybean oil, soybeans, wheat

Soybean Futures--- Soybean futures in the March contract are currently trading lower by 3 cents at 9.66 a bushel rallying from session lows right below the 9.60 level as it looks to me that prices are in a bottoming pattern as we have been stuck in a 2 week consolidation after the fall off in prices in the month of December.

Here Is My Cattle Trade

in Blog, commodity trading, feeder cattle futures, futures trading, Lean hog futures, live cattle futures, livestock futures, Mike Seery, milk futures, seeryfutures

Live Cattle Futures--- Live cattle futures in the February contract finished slightly lower this Wednesday afternoon in Chicago down 40 points at 122.95 as I'm currently not involved in this market, but I will be recommending a bullish position on some type of price retracement as the 10 day low stands at the December 11th low at 117.57 as the risk is around $2,200 per contract plus slippage & commission which in my opinion is too high at this time.

Cotton Prices Break 3 Day Losing Streak

in Blog, coffee futures, commodity trading, cotton futures, futures trading, lumber futures, Mike Seery, orange juice futures, seeryfutures, sugar futures

Cotton Futures---Cotton futures in the March contract broke a 3 day losing streak finishing up 61 points at 78.11 still right near a contract high as I think the recent activity was basically blamed on profit-taking as the commodity markets certainly look strong once again as the U.S dollar is still hovering right near a 3 month low.

in Blog, commodity consulting, commodity trading, dow jones futures, futures trading, NASDAQ 100 futures, S&P 500, seeryfutures

S&P 500 Futures--- There is no stopping the stock market in my opinion as it hit another all-time high in today's session up for the 2nd consecutive day by 18 points at 2711 in the S&P 500 as all of the indices across the board have now hit record highs & if you're long continue to place the stop loss under the 10 day low standing at 2650 as the U.S tax cuts continue to propel prices higher.

in Blog, coffee futures, commodity trading, cotton futures, futures trading, lumber futures, Mike Seery, orange juice futures, seeryfutures, sugar futures

Cocoa Futures---Cocoa futures in the March contract is trading lower by 27 points at 1907 reversing some of the last week's gains as a possible spike bottom may have occurred on December 22nd around the 18 level as I will be looking at a possible bullish position if prices close above 19.53 while then placing the stop at the contract low risking around $1,600 per contract plus slippage and commission.

Sugar Prices Near 5 Month Highs

in Blog, coffee futures, commodity trading, cotton futures, futures trading, lumber futures, Mike Seery, orange juice futures, seeryfutures, sugar futures

Sugar Futures--- Sugar futures in the March contract are trading higher for the 6th consecutive session all do to strong ethanol demand as sugar is now riding the coattails of crude oil which is hitting another yearly high in today's trade as I'm currently not involved in this market, but I'm looking for some type of retracement before entering into a bullish position as the chart structure is extremely poor at the present time.

Where Are Silver Prices Going ?

in Blog, commodity trading, copper futures, futures trading, gold futures, Mike Seery, palladium futures, platinum futures, seeryfutures, silver futures

Silver Futures--- Silver futures in the March contract traded higher for the 6th consecutive session creating the classic V formation as prices went straight down in mid December and then straight up as we are right near major resistance as I'm currently sitting on the sidelines waiting for better chart structure to develop.
